Al Jazeera introduces JeemTV

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) has launched a new pan-Arab channel for kids living in the Middle East.

JeemTV will target seven to-12-year-olds and sit alongside existing JCC services such as its preschool channel Baraem TV and VoD platform Taalam.tv.

Haya bint Khalifa Al Nassr, acting executive general manager said that it wants JeemTV to be “a child centric brand that caters the modern needs of Arab children and a generation of new media adopters, and a brand that offers a full scale of 360 degrees proposition and over multiple platforms.”

The majority of JeemTV’s content has been acquired, commissioned and produced in-house, including series such as Anbar Show, The News, Noun and Shashatech.

In addition, content recently acquired from the Disney Channel and BBCWorldwide will also air.
