Aito nabs Metronome exec

Finnish independent prodco Aito Media has hired an executive from Shine Group’s local arm Metronome to head its international operations.

Topi Salo will exec produce Aito’s big studio productions and oversee the company’s Nordic operations and management team.

“Aito is going to be a big player in Nordic markets,” said Salo, who was previously head of development at Metronome Finland.

So far this year Aito has produced more than 150 hours of non-scripted content in Finland, Norway and Sweden. Its current series include The Night Patrol, Redneck Auction and Arctic Ocean in 30 Days.
