Aerostar partners on aviation net

France-based aerospace OTT channel Aerostar TV and Canadian VoD channel AeroCinema are partnering to roll out an aviation- and space-themed channel around the world.

The pair are partnering on content production and channel distribution with the goal of eventually launching a channel for aviation enthusiasts around the world.

Paris-based Aerostar is run by chairman Bernard Chabbert, a renowned aviator with more than four decades experience as an aviation journalist and documentary producer for French pubcaster France 3. The channel is distributed in France by telecoms firms Orange, Free and Bouyigues.

AeroCinema is a VoD channel based in Canada and owned by Eureka Media that offers more than 150 hours of HD documentaries .

The network draws on decades of production experience for Discovery’s Wings slot and the Legendary Wings strand on France’s Planete channel.
