A+E UK brings in SNI’s Westrup

A+E Networks UK has appointed a Scripps Networks International (SNI) exec to the new role of VP of operations.

Matthew Westrup, who takes up his new role in March, will oversee broadcast operations, media management, facilities and IT infrastructure for all A+E Networks channels across the UK, Ireland, Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Benelux, Eastern Mediterranean, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

He will report to Nicolas Eglau, chief operating officer at A+E Networks UK and general manager for the Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA.

Westrup was most recently director of operations for UK and EMEA at SNI, where he was responsible for three brands and 15 channels.
