A+E’s Blue Book, Knightfall travel

A+E Networks has struck deals with a number of broadcasters for its UFO-focused series Project Blue Book and for the second season of Knights Templar drama Knightfall.

The US broadcaster has licensed Project Blue Book to networks including Syfy (UK), Corus (Canada), SBS (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), U-Next (Japan), OTE (Greece), Farsi-speaking channel Manoto (UK), Mesimvria (Cyprus) and Showmax (Africa).

Project Blue Book, which airs on A+E cablenet History, is a 20-episode drama series based on real-life investigations into UFOs. It stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries) and is executive produced by Oscar and Golden Globe winner Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future). The show is an A+E Studios production in association with Compari Entertainment.

Meanwhile, new licensing deals for season two of Knightfall, which also airs on History, have been agreed with Corus, SBS, Vodafone (Iceland), D’Live (South Korea), SABC (Africa), Euro TV (France) and Sky Prime (New Zealand).

These agreements come following deals already struck with Mesimvria, OTE, HBO Nordics, HBO Spain, HBO CEE, Bell Media (Canada), Viasat (Russia and CIS, Baltics and Scandinavia), Ren TV (Russia), NOS (Portugal), StarzPlay (Middle East), DBS (Israel) and Deutsche Telekom (Germany).

Knightfall centres on the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar. It stars Mark Hamill (Star Wars) and Tom Cullen (Downtown Abbey), while Aaron Helbing (The Flash, Spartacus: War of the Damned) is showrunner and exec producer. The series is produced by A+E Studios in association with The Combine and Midnight Radio.
