A+E returns to Murdertown in UK

A+E Networks’ Crime+Investigation channel in the UK has recommissioned Murdertown for a second 10-part run.

Produced by Endemol Shine-owned prodco Workerbee, the show investigates murder cases across the country. It is accompanied by a podcast, which will return with the new season.

Murdertown sees actor Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street) travel to places where murders have taken place, with the show telling the story of the killings through the testimony of investigating police officers, local journalists and friends, relatives and colleagues of the deceased.

Locations featured in season two include Portsmouth, Wrexham, Ipswich, Darlington, Greenock, Grimsby, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Nuneaton and Croydon.

Crime+Investigation’s other recent UK commissions include When Missing Turns to Murder, What the Killer Did Next and Netflix coproduction I Am a Killer.
