A+E promotes pair for LMN, FYI

A+E Networks has promoted two senior programming executives to oversee development at its LMN and fledgling FYI cablenets.

Thomas Moody has been appointed senior VP of programming, planning and acquisitions for the two channels while Laura Fleury has been promoted the new VP of programming and development for LMN.

The appointments were made by Jana Bennett, the former president of BBC Worldwide Networks and global BBC iPlayer who joined A+E in June last year as president of Bio and LMN.

A+E announced last month that it was replacing Bio with younger-skewing lifestyle net FYI.

Moody has been with A+E since 2001 and was previously responsible for developing and implementing the scheduling and acquisition strategies for A&E and Bio channels. He has also developed and executive produced series including Hoarders ad Celebrity Ghost Stories.

Fleury has been with A+E Networks for more than 15 years, previously executive producing A&E series including Beyond Scared Straight and Parking Wars.
