A+E Lat Am takes TCB duo

TCB is heading to Natpe Miami with 4East Media’s Edges Unknown

A+E Latin America has picked up a pair of factual entertainment titles from TCB Media Rights as part of a string of deals for the UK-based distributor totalling over 130 hours across the region.

A+E has licensed rights to Discovery Science/UKTV’s Abandoned Engineering and UKTV’s Shipwreck Secrets. The former, produced by Like A Shot, examines the legacy of incredible engineering projects that were cast aside before completion, is now in its fourth season.

Shipwreck Secrets, meanwhile, also produced by Like A Shot, sees a team of maritime experts use the latest tech to piece together the truth behind intriguing wrecks, from ships believed to have been lost in the Bermuda Triangle to the casualties of great naval battles.

Discovery and National Geographic have also picked up an array of titles from TCB for Latin America. The distributor, which is part of troubled Kew Media Group, is heading to Natpe in Miami with an original commission from Toronto-based indie 4East Media called Edges Unknown.

The 8×60’ series follows explorers, conservationists and best friends Brett and Cliff as they aspire to live an off-the-grid and back-to-basics lifestyle. Their heroes are the people who worked the toughest jobs under the toughest conditions and tried, thrived and sometimes died as they attempted to not only survive in the worlds’ places but even prosper.

Other highlights include three recently launched shows: How Did They Build That?, Lords of the Ocean and Shocking Emergency Calls.
