ABC, Stan go for DRG content

Doc Martin S9 has been acquired by ABC

Australian broadcaster ABC and streaming platform Stan have picked up content from Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT)-owned distributor DRG.

 

Pubcaster ABC has picked up the ninth season of Doc Martin (8×60’) and the fifth season of comedy series Plebs (8×30’).

SVoD platform Stan acquired three seasons of Tracey Ullman’s Show (19×30’), while cable provider Foxtel picked up three WildBear Entertainment history titles including Titans of the 20th Century (6×60’), Jungle War (4×60’) and A Royal Tour of the 20th Century (4×60’).

Foxtel also took Dynasties: The Families that Changed the World (4×60’) and true-crime series Detectives: My Killer Case (4×60’).

Broadcaster Channel Seven has signed up for seasons six and seven of The Yorkshire Vet (20×60’).

Over in New Zealand, pay TV provider Sky has acquired The Art of Architecture (10×60’) and Auction 11 (5×30’), both produced by Colonial Pictures. It also took other arts titles Handmade in the Pacific (4×60’), Oceans Apart: Art & the Pacific (3×60’) and War of Art (1×60’). Sky New Zealand has also acquired Lazy Boy Garage (10×30’) and series seven and eight of Inside the Ambulance (20×60’).

Broadcaster TVNZ has acquired Remarkable Places to Eat (4×60’), while Viacom’s Comedy Central channel in New Zealand has also acquired season five of Plebs.
