ABC orders Kimmel’s Big Fan

ABC in the US has ordered a half-hour weekly comedy gameshow to be hosted by Andy Richter with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel producing.

Big Fan, from Banijay Studios North America, is based on the Who Knows…? segment that originally aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live and pits stars against their biggest fans.

The studio-based show will feature one celebrity and three of his or her biggest superfans being tested on their knowledge, with the successful contestant winning a “priceless experience” with the star.

Kimmel, Goldberg and Caroline Baumgard, chief creative officer at Banijay Studios North America, will serve as executive producers.
