41E has secured the global multimedia and animation rights to author Jaymin Eve’s bestselling books The Supernatural Academy and Supernatural Prison.

The books are set in a fictional world were humans coexist with a number of mythical creatures that have supernatural abilities.

The CG animated series will target women aged 16 to 34 and will launch in fall 2021, with Allen Bohbot executive producing.

Kiersten Halstead, VP of acquisitions, development and production at 41E, said: “While we remain very committed to the children’s animated market, we know that this segment is getting younger as older kids are migrating to other media.

“Based on the continued success of young-adult live-action series, it is clear that young adults love the genre. With our animation expertise, we are confident that stories about shape-shifters, vampires, witchcraft and magic can best be told in high-quality CG animation.”
