3DD, Sky Arts share baton for opera doc

Luciano Pavarotti features in The Legends of Opera

Sky Arts in the UK is coproducing a documentary series about the world of opera with London-based factual specialists 3DD Productions.

The Legends of Opera (12×60′) is slated to air next summer and will feature stars such as Luciano Pavarotti, Maria Callas, Joan Sutherland and Plácido Domingo.

The series, which is in pre-production, will also include contributions from critics, producers and directors, along with classic performances from the archive.
