3 Ball lines up Jeff Jenkins joint venture

US outfit 3 Ball Entertainment has linked up with Keeping Up with the Kardashians exec producer Jeff Jenkins to form a new joint venture, Jeff Jenkins Productions (JJP).

The new content and production company will be run by Jenkins and 3 Ball’s co-CEO Ross Weintraub, and will focus on unscripted docuseries and formats, including celebrity-focused projects, for linear and digital platforms.

3 Ball will co-produce projects with JJP, with the new venture operating from 3 Ball’s California production facility. JJP already has a number of series in development featuring high-profile talent from music and sports.

Jenkins was most recently serving as co-president of Bunim/Murray Productions, overseeing development, sales and executive production on the Kardashian franchise, including its flagship show and all its spin-offs. He also worked across five seasons of Fox’s The Simple Life.

“Running JJP with 3 Ball will allow me to focus on my passion for pop culture coupled with the highest standards of storytelling,” said Jenkins. “JJP is committed to delivering the highest level of customer service to buyers, while presenting projects with fresh A-list talent for the ever-evolving TV and digital landscape.”

The announcement follows on from 3 Ball’s appointment of former Tremendous Entertainment exec Ronak Kordestani as its new president.
