Zodiak links up with Keller/Noll

Zodiak Americas has gone into partnerhsip with game and competition format creators Cleve Keller and Dave Noll, and has promoted Mike Gamson to CEO of its New York office.

The duo’s company, Keller/Noll, will create unscripted formats to be coproduced with Zodiak in the US and distributed internationally by Zodiak Rights, international sales arm of Zodiak Media.

Keller and Noll were previously chief creative officer and chief development officer respectively at Shine America subsidiary Ardaban, where they created original formats such as HGTV’s new series Beat the House and TLC’s The One that Got Away.

They will relocate to Zodiak’s New York office and work with Gamson, who has been upped from chief creative officer. Gamson previously headed the office but it was without an official CEO until now.

The deal will fund specific development resources for Keller/Noll and provide them with direct access to Zodiak’s local development teams in more than 20 countries, Zodiak said.

The news comes in the same month that former Endemol global head of format acquisitions Grant Ross joined Zodiak Media as exec VP of global creative development and format acquisition.

A week later, Zodiak transferred producers and format developers Joel Karsberg and Cem Yeter from Sweden to LA as joint chief creative offers at Zodiak Americas.
