Zeebox allies with Ex Machina

BSkyB- and Comcast-backed dual-screen app Zeebox has linked up with Dutch interactive TV specialist Ex Machina.

Zeebox has licensed Ex Machina’s PlayToTV technology, integrating it into the app so that broadcasters and producers can more easily create interactive play-along and social TV experiences around programmes.

UK-based Zeebox has expanded into the US and Australia this year.

Amsterdam-headquartered Ex Machina also has offices in London, Tokyo and San Francisco and has created a string of dual-screen experiences for shows including the original Dutch version of The Voice.
