Osama Bin Laden – Up Close and Personal

Broadcasters in Brazil, Spain and Poland are among the first to have picked up a documentary about Osama Bin Laden.

Osama Bin Laden – Up Close and Personal focuses on the period after the 11 September attacks including when the terrorist was hiding with part of his family in an ordinary looking house in Abbottabad.

The doc, from ZDF and sold by its international arm ZDF Enterprises, has been acquired by Globosat in Brazil, RTVE in Spain and TVN in Poland.

It uses recently released documents to paint an intriguing picture of the last years of Bin Laden’s life in his hideout in Pakistan.

The programme has been directed by Alexander Berkel of ZDF History and produced by ZDF and ZDF Enterprises.
