ZDFE extends KiKa relationship

ZDFE will distribute shows including Bernd das Brot

German distributor ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) will represent children’s broadcaster KiKa for a further four years after successfully competing in an EU-wide tendering process.

ZDFE has distributed programming from the ARD- and ZDF-owned net since 2012, along with looking after global marketing rights to all productions. The four-year extension to its mandate will focus on international TV sales and distribution.

Under the agreement, ZDFE will be responsible for the umbrella brand and preschool brand Kikaninchen, distributing programming including Baumhaus, Bernd das Brot, Ene Mene Bu, KiKa Live and TanzAlarm (Dance Alert).
