ZDF gets Ready with ABC Oz

ZDF in Germany has picked up Australian live-action children’s drama Ready For This for its free to air kids channel Kika.

The series debuted on ABC in Oz last year and follows six teens as they arrive in Sydney from around Australia to pursue their dreams and new opportunities.

The show was produced as a joint venture by Blackfella Films (Redfern Now) and Werner Film Productions (Dance Academy), with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) handling distribution worldwide.

ZDF previously worked with ABC and ACTF on fellow teen drama Dance Academy, which debuted in 2010.
