Yellow rejig as COO runs for parliament

Finland-based prodco Yellow Film & TV is reshuffling its management, with the current chief operating officer leaving to focus on running for parliament.

Milla Bruneau

Milla Bruneau will leave the company, known for Finnish-German crime thriller Arctic Circle, in September to focus on her parliamentary election campaign ahead of the vote in April next year.

Tomi Paajanen, who previously worked as HR and production director for the firm, will take over the day-to-day operational management of Yellow this month.

Bruneau will continue to lead the company’s international business until September and will remain as a board member and shareholder.

Yellow CEO Olli Haikka said: “Everything has its time and place. Milla is very influential in politics and right now she has the momentum to run for parliament. Yellow is in a fast-growing phase and most of our growth comes from international business. We are going to strengthen our international sales and financing with a recruit from outside Finland. The recruitment process is already in progress.”
