Yahoo prepares for Cybergeddon

US internet giant Yahoo! will roll out CSI creator Anthony Zuiker’s futuristic serialized crime movie Cybergeddon later this month.

Cybergeddon, which will have its worldwide premiere on September 25, tells the story of an agent investigating seemingly unrelated cyber attacks that lead her team uncover a global cybercrime ring in a world where everyone is connected.

Zuiker and his production company Dare to Pass partnered with Dolphin Digital Studios for the digital blockbuster, which will debut in more than 25 countries and 10 languages on Yahoo! in a series of nine chapters. These will be released three per day over three consecutive days.

Zuiker exec produces the film with Dolphin CEO Bill O’Dowd. Matthew Weinberg, president of Dare to Pass, produces.

The CSI creator describes Cybergeddon as a “cinematic experience that breaks traditional rules…. The best part is that all of this can be experienced on any device, anytime and anywhere, day and date.”

As well as working with Yahoo!, Zuiker has also launched a YouTube horror, thriller and sci-fi channel called BlackBoxTV.
