Wuaki.tv goes live in Italy

Spanish video-on-demand service Wuaki.tv has continued to expand its European footprint by launching in Italy.

Wuaki.tv will offer thousands of TV and movie titles for rental or purchase to Italian users via Smart TVs, tablets, game consoles and computers.

The company, owned by Japan’s e-commerce giant Rakuten, is enacting a growth plan and aims to be in 15 European countries by late 2015. It branched out into the UK in 2013 and is also rolling out in France and Germany.
