World Media Rights picks Peacock alum

London-based indie World Media Rights (MWR) has hired a former Peacock Productions exec as an executive producer.

Dean Palmer

Dean Palmer takes up the newly created position of executive producer of factual entertainment and project development.

He joins WMR following consultancy roles at John Bishop’s Lola Entertainment and Channel 5’s TV production arm Elephant House Productions.

Palmer was previously director of development at NBCUniversal’s Peacock Productions UK, where he developed Don’t Look Down: Rope Men for ITV.

Prior to joining Peacock, he was executive producer of The Winner Is for Sony Pictures International and showrunner of business reality TV show Redemption Inc for CBC in Toronto.

He has also had a book published in the shape of The Queen and Mrs Thatcher: An Inconvenient Relationship, which was optioned by All3Media’s Two Halves in 2017.

Founded in 2007, WMR produces factual programming for a range of international broadcasters including Reelz, Planete, ZDF and Netflix.
