Winter steps down at TLC

Amy Winter has stepped down as general manager of Discovery Communications’ female-skewing lifestyle network TLC in the US.

Discovery has confirmed the move, first reported by Deadline, but said Winter will remain as executive VP of brand marketing.

Winter moved into the role in early 2011, replacing Eileen O’Neill when she became group president of Discovery and TLC. O’Neill has now re-assumed Winter’s responsibilities.

Prior to that Winter had been VP of marketing, creative, based in Atlanta. It’s been reported that problems relocating her family from Atlanta to Discovery’s headquarters in Silver Springs are behind the move.
