WeMake signs up for Global Agency formats

Recently formed French prodco WeMake has signed a first-look deal with series and formats distributor Global Agency.

Bouchra Réjani

WeMake will be given exclusive access to all of Istanbul-based Global Agency’s existing and future projects, allowing it to secure adaptation rights in the French market.

The deal is the latest step in WeMake’s expansion, following its launch last year. The company, which is the brainchild of Bouchra Réjani, Shine France’s former chief operating officer, and Pascal Breton’s Federation Entertainment, develops original unscripted and scripted programming and digital content.

It has since taken on former Talpa exec Moe Bennani as its creative director and is producing Friendly Divorce, the first format from John de Mol’s new format accelerator  Talpa Network.

Réjani, WeMake’s CEO, said Global Agency was one of international television’s “dynamic and creative forces” and she was delighted to represent the company in France.

Izzet Pinto, founder and CEO of Global Agency, added: “France has always been one of our key territories and three of our formats, Joker, Shopping Monsters and My Wife Rules, are some of the greatest hits in the region that we’re proud of.”
