Weather Channel makes Katrina special

NEWS BRIEF: US cablenet The Weather Channel is to mark the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with a new special.

Katrina 2065 will look at the impact a Katrina-sized storm would have 50 years from now after decades of projected climate change. The show will use weather animations and analysis from meteorologists to examine what a likely response to another hurricane would be. It will air on Thursday August 27.
