WE TV takes Sex Box to series

US cablenet WE TV is moving UK reality format Sex Box to series following a successful pilot of the local version.

The show, which originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK, sees couples enter a sealed box in the middle of a television studio for sex, before emerging afterwards to talk about the experience.

Relativity Television produced a pilot for the AMC Networks-owned channel earlier this year and is now working on nine episodes to air next year.

The US version features couples whose relationships are on the rocks who discuss their issues with a panel of experts before entering the box for sex.

The UK version was produced by London-based indie ClearStory.
