Watch goes over the edge

UKTV channel Watch has ordered a four-part daredevil series from Objective Productions and Crook Productions.

The as yet unnamed 4×60′ project will be fronted by Jonathan Goodmwin, a self taught stuntman, who will be attached to a car going over a cliff, allow himself to be bitten by a deadly snake and try to escape from the bottom of a canal lock among other deadly escapades.

Executive Producers for Objective are Anthony Owen and Andrew Newman and for Crook Productions it’s Matt Crook. The series will premiere in March.

Watch is also prepping a third season of its popular magic series Dynamo: Magician Impossible. Phil McIntyre Television and Inner Circle Films are working on a 4×60′ season to air in the first quarter of next year.

The new commission is part of UKTV’s drive to invest more than £100m (US$160m) in new content each year.

UKTV announced last week that it would be moving further into the digital space by launching stand alone on demand services for its Dave, Yesterday and Really channels.
