Warner promotes sales VP Patel

Warner Bros International Television Distribution (WBITVD) has promoted to fill the post of senior VP of sales for Nordic, Benelux and the Middle East regions.

Roni Patel will oversee the licensing of content distributed by WBITVD – including television series, feature films, made-for-TV movies and animation.

The London-based exec will work throughout the Nordics, Benelux and Middle East, selling into terrestrial, cable and satellite free and pay TV, as well as advertising- and subscription-based VoD platforms.

She will report to Robert Blair, executive VP of Europe, Middle East and Africa at WBITD.

Patel was most recently VP of sales for the same regions, a post she was promoted to in 2009.

She joined WBITD in 2007 as director of sales for Benelux and the Middle East. Prior to that, she was at The Walt Disney Company for 11 years, first as a sales manager then as sales director for two years.

Her latest promotion comes as Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) this week appointed Fredrik Hillerbrand, former MD at production outfit Strix, as the MD of its operation in Denmark.

In related news, WBITVP UK hired Alexia Edwards as its group commercial and business affairs director.
