VRV digs Deep Space 69

Deep Space 69 comes from Daniel Katz

Ellation, the video platform backed by US telecoms giant AT&T and media investor Peter Chemin’s joint venture Otter Media, has launched the fourth season of animated series Deep Space 69.

The first two episodes of the latest run of the sci-fi parody from Daniel Katz debuted exclusively on the streaming service’s VRV channel yesterday, with eight further 11-minute new episodes to come weekly.

Deep Space 69 chronicles the misadventures of a transport ship in outer space and the sexual exploits of its intergalactic pilot.

The series, which is rated TV-MA, was previously available on YouTube but was placed on VRV, Ellation’s subscription service for fans of anime, animation, games, sci-fi, fantasy, horror and technology, earlier this year.

VRV costs US$2.99 a month for an individual channel and US$9.99 a month for all eight channels of its service, which together provide more than 10,000 hours of content.

Cat Agent was also added to the streamer when Deep Space 69 was first picked up.
