Vibrant TV shuffles acquisitions

Fledgling US network Vibrant TV has rejigged its acquisitions department with the appointment of an exec from parent company Zephyr Media Group.

Jessica Hoyt becomes VP of programme acquisitions and will be based in Chicago, reporting to network CEO Dan Zifkin.

Hoyt will be responsible for the acquisition of global content for the network’s linear and non-linear platforms and will also handle all scheduling.

Vibrant TV launched in 2014 and is dedicated to airing international programming across lifestyle, reality, comedy, drama, travel, food, sports and family genres.

It is available across the US and has secured distribution partnerships with digital services such as Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

Hoyt began her career at ION Media Networks, where she headed up affiliate advertiser sales for local broadcast stations. She then moved to Zephyr as director of ad sales for syndication.

She will continue to serve as director of ad sales for Zephyr alongside her new role. Chicago-based Zephyr previously oversaw acquisitions for the channel ahead of its launch and handles ad sales for the net.

Zifkin said Hoyt’s “outstanding instincts for programming match the mandate of Vibrant TV and our viewers. Her depth of experience in advertiser sales also serves as a major plus, as Jessica understands the unique needs of advertisers when it comes to making programme acquisitions and scheduling decisions.”
