Nina Diaz has become exec VP and head of reality programming at VH1 and will oversee all the genre’s development and production for the channel. She reports to Chris McCarthy, VH1’s president.

Diaz was most recently senior VP of east coast production and development for the network and takes over from Susan Levison, who left her role as exec VP of programming last year.

Diaz had been working with Jill Holmes, who was senior VP of production and development on the west coast, but she left last week to take on a first-look development deal with the channel.

She began her career with MTV, working on shows including Cribs and My Super Sixteen, and has also been behind Love and Hip Hop and Mob Wives.
