Verizon taps Castallo for Go90

The former head of alternative programming at CBS has resurfaced at Verizon to oversee development at the telecom giant’s OTT service Go90.

Chris Castallo

Chris Castallo will report to Ivana Kirkbride, chief content officer at Go90, which targets young people and revamped its programming strategy earlier this year.

Castallo will develop and acquire programming for Go90’s four digital channels, Saga, Session, Zone and XO.

These focus on sci-fi, horror and gaming; music, style and art; live sports and comedy; and drama respectively.

Castallo left CBS after a decade over the summer and was replaced by Sharon Vuong at the US network. He joined CBS in 2007 after previously serving as senior VP of development at NBC.
