Venevision finds Secret Love in classic drama

Venezuelan broadcaster Venevision is producing a remake of a classic telenovela that made its debut on the channel more than 20 years ago.

Secret Love is a modern reboot of Inés Duarte, Secretaria, which ran for 238 episodes in the 1990s. The new soap will be adapted by veteran writer Cesar Sierra and feature new characters and plots.

It’s set to star Miguel De Leon alongside Alejandra Sandoval and Juan Carlos Garcia, and will be exec produced by Manuel F Fraíz-Grijalba.

The story follows an efficient secretary who lacks self-confidence but harbours a secret desire for her boss, whose wife has passed away.
