Valor, Dynasty lead The CW

The original version of Dynasty

UPFRONTS: The CW’s reboot of classic 1980s soap Dynasty will make its debut in the fall alongside military drama Valor, the network has revealed.

The scheduling shift will see Dynasty lined up for Wednesdays after Riverdale, while Valor will make its bow on Mondays after ratings-grabber Supergirl.

It means returning series Arrow and Jane the Virgin are moved into new slots on Thursdays and Fridays respectively, while new drama Black Lightning will be held for midseason.

Comedy series Life Sentence will also be held, joining returning trio The 100, The Originals and iZombie.

Mark Pedowitz, president at The CW, said the broadcaster had “transformed over the past few years, from a linear network into a true multiplatform success.”

He added: “Next season we have four new scripted series, continuing our mission of adding more original programming to schedules all year long.

“We will have our strongest schedule ever, with a broad range of series to appeal to both women and men, across a wide range of demographics. And we will continue to provide our advertisers new opportunities to reach our audience, the youngest of any broadcaster, on every platform.”
