USA gives Psych a send-off

USA Network is to end detective comedy-drama Psych after its eighth-season finale next month.

The show’s March 26 finale will be followed by The Psych After Show, a one-hour live programme that features a Q&A session with the cast and show creator Steve Franks.

Chris McCumber, president of USA Network, said Psych had made an “indelible imprint on the television landscape with a unique brand of comedy.”

The final five episodes of the current season begin airing on February 26.

The series is exec produced by Franks, Kelly Kulchak and Chris Henze, and is from Universal Cable Productions, in association with Tagline Pictures. Mel Damski serves as exec producer/director. The after-show will be produced by Wilshire Studios.
