USA gets more Satisfaction, axes Rush

USA Network has renewed its freshman drama Satisfaction for a 10-episode second season but has pulled the plug on medical series Rush.

Created by Sean Jablonski, Satisfaction follows an investment banker and his wife who are sifting through their stagnant relationship. Matt Passmore (The Glades) and Stephanie Szostak (The Devil Wears Prada) star.

The show comes from Universal Cable Productions and the exec producers are Jablonski (Suits) and Russ Krasnoff (Community). NBCUniversal International Television Distribution is handling sales.

The first season launched this summer to 1.7 million viewers before peaking at 2.21 million ahead of its season finale on September 18.

Rush, which follows the life of an unconventional LA doctor, failed to capture the same number of eyeballs, launching with 1.7 million viewers and ending with 1.6 million.

The series came from 20th Century Fox TV’s Fox 21 banner.
