US studio Universal Television has promoted Kiersten Robinson to senior VP for current programming.

Robinson, upped from VP for current, will report to JoAnn Alfano, who recently arrived from sibling outfit NBCUniversal (NBCU) International Studios to become Universal’s exec VP of current and new business development.

Robinson’s credits include comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the Chicago drama franchise. She previously worked at USA Network as director of original scripted series.

Universal TV president Pearlena Igbokwe described Robinson as a “smart, dedicated executive who has earned the respect of her colleagues and the producers she works with.”

It’s the latest exec rejig for Universal Television parent NBCU since Amazon poached Jennifer Salke from its NBC Entertainment division. NBCU has since appointed NBC drama chief Lisa Katz and comedy head Tracey Pakosta to co-presidents of scripted programming for NBC Entertainment, with both reporting to NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt.

At the same time, NBCU confirmed Igbokwe would report directly to Greenblatt, having previously reported to Salke.
