UKTV picks Jamie Oliver, Nigella from C4

UKTV has extended its relationship with the distribution arm of the UK’s Channel 4, picking up a host of factual and food programming for its channels.

UKTV is adding five new C4 series to its slate, and renewing a previous licensing deal for five others.

The new shows picked up include cooking programmes fronted by Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson: Jamie’s Fish Supper (produced by the chef’s Fresh One prodco) and Nigella Bites (Pacific). Walking Through History from Wildfire and Scandimania from Keo have also been picked up.

Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals, Jamie’s Great Britain (both Fresh One) and River Cottage (Keo Films) have been renewed, as has Gok Cooks Chinese (Optomen).

In addition, Scripps Networks Interactive, which owns 50% of UKTV, has re-licensed Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals for its Food Network.
