UKTV perceives US drama trio

UKTV has picked up a trio of US dramas including FBI thriller Perception via a deal with Disney Media Distribution.

Perception

Perception (10×60′), which will air on UKTV’s Watch later this year, sees an eccentric neuroscientist team up with the FBI to crack complex cases. A second season (13×60′), recently commissioned by US cable network TNT, will also air on Watch.

Meanwhile, UKTV’s crime-skewing channel Alibi will air Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (13×60′) and The Protector (13×60′).

Suspect Behavior, which airs in the US on CBS, is the spin-off from the original Criminal Minds series and follows a team of elite agents with the FBI’s behaviour analysis unit who use unconventional methods to capture some of the country’s most infamous criminals.

The Protector, which ran for one season on Lifetime, tells the story of a divorced mother-of-two who juggles her personal life with a career as an LAPD homicide detective.

All three series are produced by ABC Studios.

Last month, Alibi picked up all three seasons of A&E’s The Glades, while Watch has previously acquired Fox network’s Alcatraz.
