UKTV gets extra Freeview slot

UKTV is pushing further into the free-TV arena after securing a fourth slot on UK DTT platform Freeview.

The broadcaster already airs male-skewing Dave, female-skewing Really and history-based Yesterday on the digital television service.

Now a time-shifted version of Dave, known as Dave Ja Vu, which is already available on pay-TV platforms, will move to Freeview on a temporary basis from January as UKTV considers its permanent plans for the channel slot.

Co-owned by BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, the company has a portfolio of channels that also includes Home, Eden, Blighty, Alibi, Gold and Good Food Channel.
