UKTV commits to murder series

UK multi-channel broadcaster UKTV has pre-bought two factual shows produced by BriteSpark Films and focusing on murderers from TCB Media Rights.

Handsome Devils

Handsome Devils (10×60’) will air on UKTV’s entertainment channel Really and explores predatory killers who use their charm and good looks to woo victims.

Also on Really’s slate is real-life docudrama Did He Do It? (6×60’), produced for Investigation Discovery in the US, which examines real-life murder trials.

The deals were brokered by TCB’s founder and MD Paul Heaney and follow UKTV’s acquisition of Bondi Rescue (137×30’) and Border Patrol (80×30′).

Paul Heaney, CEO of TCB, said: “UKTV is always on the look-out, at the earliest possible stage, for broad, noisy and compelling factual content across all of its portfolio of channels. Funnily enough, so are we. If it works for their team and their channels then it’s always a good indicator that a show will work well for TCB.”
