ITV-owned Twofour America will work with ITV Creative, ITV America’s in-house production arm, on shows. The deal, which comes after ITV bought Twofour in 2015, was brokered by Ed Simpson, exec VP for business development and international at ITV America, and Anthony Hughes, Twofour Group’s chief operating officer.

An initial part of the arrangement will see Twofour’s music competition series Change Your Tune, recently commissioned by ITV in the UK, brought to the US marketplace.

The format, where terrible singers aim to transform into accomplished performers over the course of a year, is now in development with ITV America. Over the course of the partnership, David Eilenberg, president of ITV Entertainment, will work closely with Twofour America.

“Since joining the ITV family, Twofour has built a strong relationship with ITV America and has already coproduced a number of hit Twofour shows with them, including Edge of Alaska (Discovery) and A Night With My Ex (Bravo),” said Melanie Leach, Twofour Group’s CEO.

“We’re looking forward to building on that relationship and bringing Change Your Tune and a number of other exciting new UK formats to the US market together.”

The move marks the latest in a flurry of activity for Twofour, after its distribution arm Twofour Rights hired Marta Csizmadia and Nicky Shales to bolster its sales team ahead of next month’s Mipcom.

Elsewhere, ITV Studios Global Entertainment strengthened their sales presence in EMEA with the promotion of US distribution exec Greg Johnson to VP of EMEA and Americas.
