Twofour gives TV2 A Year

DR in Denmark has acquired Impossible Railways

Danish broadcaster TV2 is to produce a local version of business format Give It A Year after agreeing a deal with UK-based distributor Twofour Rights.

The format is from Denmark’s United Productions and sees a host meet fledgling businesses.

The programme, created by Twofour’s production arm, then catches up with the company’s owners 12 months later to see how their businesses are faring. The show has already been sold into the UK, to commercial broadcaster ITV.

In related news, DR in Denmark has secured rights to Impossible Railways, which recently aired on UKTV in the UK, as well as Lost World of Pompeii.

Nelonen in Finland has picked up Posh Pawn season four, The World’s Most Expensive Toys and The World’s Most Expensive Presents, all of which aired first on Channel 4 in the UK.

Elsewhere, SVT in Sweden has secured rights to all three runs of Impossible Engineering, plus Born To Kill? Class of Evil. TV4 in Sweden has picked up a package that includes Extreme Cake Makers, Compulsive Shoppers and Biggest Hoarders.

TV2 has acquired rights to air Extreme Cake Makers S1, The World’s Most Expensive Presents, Flat Pack Mansions, Hidden Restaurants and Posh Pawn S4.

Meanwhile, YLE has picked up 43 hours of programming from Twofour Rights, including two seasons of A Night With My Ex and the first season of Indian Dream Hotel.
