TVF bolsters sales team

UK-based factual distributor TVF International has added two executives to its sales team ahead of Mipcom in Cannes next month.

Henry Pelham is joining the London-based firm as sales exec, responsible for distributing its finished tape and formats into Japan. As a Mandarin- and Japanese-speaker, Pelham will also assist Julian Chou-Lambert with sales and acquisitions in China.

Meanwhile, Katie Bench has been appointed sales exec in the company’s Europe team and will support sales manager Lindsey Ayotte.

These additions follow soon after the independent distributor’s appointment of Spanish-, French- and Greek-speaking Irini Koulovasilopoulos as sales exec for Iberia and Latin America.

All three joined the company from outside the television business.

Division head Harriet Armston-Clarke said: “We have just closed the accounts on another year of consecutive growth and one of the key drivers of this success has been our talented and highly specialised team.

“Hiring Henry and Katie means we will continue this trajectory, and I can’t wait for them to hit the ground running in the lead-up to Mipcom.”

Elsewhere, the independent distributor has announced pre-sales of 26-part conservation series The Snake Master to Discovery and 13-part Vogue Williams Investigates to ProSieben in Germany.
