TVE takes new Endemol talent format

Spanish broadcaster TVE has picked up Endemol Spain’s new talent format The Band Rules (Uno de Los Nuestros), with the show due to broadcast later in the year.

The talent show aims to uncover new lead singers for a 14-piece band, with the musicians set to determine who wins the competition. Amateur singers are given just 20 seconds to impress the band members, who vote by putting down their instrument. if they don’t like what they hear.

It’s one of several new formats Endemol will be bringing to Mipcom in Cannes next month.

Undo Me is produced by Endemol UK and uncovers strange stories about people who have come to regret their decisions to improve their looks, with experts on hand to ‘undo’ the changes. It is slated to air on the UK’s Channel 4 in the autumn.

Also on the slate is Endemol USA comedic gameshow Wall of Fame due to launch in the US on NBC.

Endemol Italy daily gameshow Next One; Germany mental challenge formats The Brain and Unbeatable; and Endemol Netherlands reality show Grading Mom and Dad round out the line-up. The company says it has already scored deals on this latter trio.
