Turner ties up Asian carriage deal

A clutch of Turner channels including newscaster CNN International and kids brand Cartoon Network are expanding their carriage in Singapore.

Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific is partnering with SingTel Mio TV to launch its channels on the platform from today.

Cartoon Network’s sister channel Boomerang and CNN’s companion station HLN are also included. TruTV, Turner Classic Movies, Korean entertainment channel Oh!K, animation station Toonami and general entertainment channel WarnerTV complete the package.

The networks will be made available for free for a preview period until the beginning of March.

Ricky Ow, president of Turner International Asia Pacific, said: “With this new partnership with SingTel, our portfolio of leading TV brands is now available in all Singapore pay-TV households.”
