Turkish net takes Armoza’s Cut

A Turkish broadcaster has commissioned an Armoza Formats competition series in which hairdressers square off to give members of the public the best makeover.

Star TV has licensed The Final Cut Down (30×30′) from Israel’s Armoza Formats and will strip the series in a daily slot over the course of this month.

The format sees five hairdressers each week compete to give one passer-by a completely new look, with one hairdresser transforming one member of the public, chosen by their rivals, in each episode.

More than 80 episodes of The Final Cut Down have already aired on TV Barrandov in Czech Republic.

Star TV, which recently ordered its own version of long-running Italian gameshow L’Eredita, has previously aired local adaptations of Armoza formats including the studio gameshows The Common Denominator and Still Standing.
