Steven Weinstock and Glenda Hersh are co-CEOS of True, which was acquired by Endemol in 2003, and now get the same oversight of Original, which the firm bought in 2007.

Original CEO Daniel Laikind, appointed last year from Stick Figure Productions, departs.

The company was founded by Charlie Corwin, who along with Cris Abrego, founder of 51 Minds Entertainment (acquired by Endemol in 2008), was made co-CEO and co-chairman of Endemol Shine North America as part of the new company’s set-up.

A string of senior management changes have followed in the wake of last year’s merger between Endemol, Shine Group and Core Media, and the US structure was finalised this month.

True focuses on documentary and alternative programming, with current titles including The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love Lust or Run and Vanity Fair Confidential.

Original is behind unscripted series such as Ink Master for Spike, Dual Survival for Discovery and Swamp People for History.

The two companies will continue to operate as separate entities, retaining their own brands and respective development and production teams.
