Tremendous nabs History’s Crawford

LA-based Tremendous! Entertainment (TEI) has expanded its development team with two appointments, including poaching the senior manager of development at History Channel.

Former History exec Brandy Crawford becomes senior manager of development at TEI while Liz Alderman, previously at Soshefeigh Media, joins as director of development.

Crawford produced documentary Gettysburg as well as Swamp People and Pawn Stars during her five-year stint at History, and was also one of the founding members of its scripted department, while Alderman has worked on shows including TruTV’s Barmageddon and Fashion’s Night Out at CBS.

Both execs are based in TEI’s recently opened New York office and will work with Andy Meyer, VP of development, to create new television programming and branded content.

TEI, which is behind shows including Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern for Travel Channel and Ghost Asylum for Destination America, bolstered its senior management team in December by poaching Andy Meyer from Jarrett Creative Group to oversee its new east coast office.

“There’s an abundance of reality television available, but Tremendous! has the ability to create out-of-the-box programming that breaks through the clutter,” said Crawford. “Consumers are hungry for the new and revolutionary, and TEI is poised to identify that next big untapped idea.”
