TNT Lat Am goes Under the Dome

Turner Broadcasting System Latin America has picked up Stephen King sci-fi horror series Under the Dome for its TNT channel.

The 13-part first season has been produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment in association with CBS Television Studios in the US and will start broadcasting on TNT Lat Am in November.

TNT has also acquired rights to the recently-confirmed second season, in which King will write the first episode.

The show premiered on CBS in the US in June and has since been picked up around the world including in the UK (C5), Sweden (Kanal 5) and Australia (Network Ten).

The story focuses on a small US town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome. The novel was published in 2009 and made the US best-seller list.
